Maya is a sixth grade student at Laconia Memorial Middle School who enjoys spending time with friends at the Boys & Girls Club of the Lakes Region. At the club, Maya completes her homework during power hour, is a great sport on any team, and shares her creative spirit and talent with younger members.

Spalding Donates Hoops to Boys & Girls Club

LACONIA — It's not every day that you'll find a basketball court positioned below stained glass windows. But the Boys & Girls Club of the Lakes Region has one in the hoop court it has laid out in the Great Room at the former Saint James Episcopal Church, it's new home on North Main Street. And, thanks to a donation from Spalding Sports of two of it's ''Beast'' rollaway hoop units, the Great Room, which was once the church's worship area, is now the scene of lots of basketball activity .

The capital campaign for the Boys & Girls Club of the Lakes Region has surpassed the $1 million mark on its way to raising $2.4 million.  Members of the Board of Directors and youth from the club gathered outside to mark the occasion by adding figures to the campaign sign, located in front of the clubhouse.

3M Company Donates $50,000 to Boys & Girls Club

LACONIA — 3MGives — the charitable foundation of 3M Corporation — has awarded a cash grant in the amount of $50,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of the Lakes Region for their capital campaign. Each year, the company donates via cash or product donation through various initiatives, including working with premier groups positively impacting climate change and biodiversity, fostering healthy youth development, encouraging youth participation in math and sciences, and the arts.

Teen Center Now OPEN!!

The Boys & Girls Club of the Lakes Region is proud to announce that we have opened our doors for early evening activities!! All hish school aged teens are invited to grab some friends and come down to The Club Teen Center. The Club will be open every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:30-8:00pm and Saturday mornings from 11am-2pm.  After 6:30, it will be exclusively for High School Aged Youth.  Some of our future activities will include cooking lessons, basketball, music, open gym artisitic expression, leadership opportunities and more! Properly Pampered

It was a special day of pampering for a group of girls with the Boys & Girls Club of the Lakes Region Thursday, who took a trip to Empire Beauty School.  Eighteen girls from the Boys & Girls Club were treated to a mini-manicure done by cosmetology students at the downtown Laconia school.
